“Not So Boring” Workwear Lookbook : Western Edit

Hola my favourite peeps.. How has your week been?? I know busy, you don’t know where time flew.. well, that happens when you do what you love doing. Blessed are those who get to spend their time doing what satisfies their soul and call it a job. The best part happens when you get paid for merely doing what doesn’t even feel like “Work” to you.

Now, I know not all of us are really that lucky. But, we still gotta do what we gotta do. And no, not all the jobs that didn’t answer our inner calling suck. A lot of us are quite happy and content with the jobs in hand, because hey.. it keeps rolling in the money baby. And, what’s there in the world that money can’t buy ha.. πŸ˜‰

For me personally, the ONE thing I can buy with all that money in hand, without feeling guilty because it brings me so much of happiness.. aahh.. no points for guessing, Clothes. πŸ™‚

Happy Clothing Forever ❀

Now, Coming to today’s post.. I have come up with a series where I’ll be showing you not one, not two, but five different “Not So Boring” looks to get you drifting through the working weeks. Also, this part of the series is called the “Western Edit“. You will have to wait for couple of more days for the “Indian Edit” to be up. Let’s get going !!

Pleated Skirts for Mondays, Please πŸ™‚

Summers call for skirts and a “Pleated Skirt” is the most elegant way to go about it.
Pleats Pleats all the way… Pairing up a shirt/blouse with a Pencil Skirt has been the most popular conventional way of formal dressing around the world. But, when I thought of doing that look nothing seemed interesting enough until I spotted these. Pleated skirts are so damn underrated you guys. They are much more comfortable and easy going than Pencil skirts and yet so formal.
Pick one of these in a colour of your choice, try to keep it subtle though. Throw upon a solid blouse, wear those heels , hang that tote and you are ready to go !
Don’t try hard on accessorizing, just wear that smile πŸ™‚

Jog Through Those Tuesdays !

Now, I did a post on “Athleisure” months ago in which I spoke about how the sporty element is being infused in almost everything that you can wear today. Hence, these Jogger style pinstripe pants.
I am personally a big fan of athleisure. I love how this clothing line is so functional and multipurpose. Talking about this particular pant, I can easily wear it down in order to look casual n cool and at the same time, wear it with a button down shirt to dress up for the formal days.
Joggers style normally comes in a cropped length which is so common these days. But, what’s uncommon is the side strips which gives it all the vibe and wearing it with a proper formal shirt is definitely a “Not So Boring” way of Workwear πŸ™‚
So, if being comfortable while looking unique is what you dig for, get your pair of Joggers style pants asap.

Monochrome Wednesdays

Monochrome : Using only black, white, grey or varying tones of only one colour. This look is not for the faint hearted. Going all black is easy but going all white definitely pops out Jeetender vibes πŸ˜‰ But, it is definitely an easy way to turn out interesting from boring.
If you are the Boss Girl, you’ve got to love Monochromes. They are the easiest way to bring in the power look.
Adding some colour in whatever m wearing is my personal style (even if it’s monochrome). So, for the pop of colour I added red lips and lavender bag. My black skinny scarf, skinny belt and nude heels took care of the rest.
Minimal accessories are your best friend !

Bold Prints for Thursdays

They say – Go bold or Go home ! We are definitely not going home when it comes to dressing interesting for our workplace.
To our rescue we have shirts in bold prints like this one. Colour element – check , Bold yet doable print – check , Button down shirt – check, Interesting details – check . This shirt checked into all my needs for filling up an interesting chic workwear attire.
It’s very important to note that when you wear something with details, try to keep the other elements of your look as simple as possible. Like so, I paired this full of life shirt with a contrasting plain jane straight fit pant. Didn’t want to add any more colour so, nude bags and shoes.
I am sure it is a happy day at work when you wear something like this. It is definitely a good way to rock a Thursday πŸ™‚

Floral Fridays

F for Friday, F for Fun, F for Floral The weekend is almost here and we must celebrate. What better way than ending the week with a happy floral top.
Flowy tops with not on your face floral prints can make wearing florals to work so easy that would only garner you compliments, making your upcoming weekend only happier.
Yellow and Green makes such a beautiful combination that you have to try it for yourself. I know green is a tricky colour, but that’s why we have olive. Thank God for olives.
In the end, I would like to say that Do well, Live well & Dress really well πŸ˜‰

That’s it from my side. Thank you for being here and I would love to know what your Not So Boring Workwear looks like. Feel free to connect with me through comments , messages on Instagram & Facebook. Also, do let me know which one among these was your favourite work wear idea. See you soon !!

Until next time :*

    1. Awww… Saturdays are for boyfriend/ brother’s clothes. That’s what I did at least. I would steal an my brother’s/bf’s t shirt and shirts and wear them on to achieve an oversized laid back look with my tights or jeans. Thankyou for the appreciation. I love reading comments 😊😘
